Richard and Cathie planted C3 Church Ryde in 1999, since then the church has grown to 900 members.  They are very involved in the broader C3 Church Movement and Richard coordinates the Church Planters Course for C3 Australia.

Richard has worked as a professional freelance musician, teacher and small business owner, and Cathie in the field of disabilities, refugee advocacy and youth and young adult work.  Both Richard and Cathie have over 25 years of ministry experience involving urban church planting, ministry amongst the poor, youth communities, local church leadership and missions.
Both Richard and Cathie have broad educational training with degrees in education, music, psychology, theology and leadership.  Richard is currently completing his second doctorate at MGSM – Macquarie University.
Richard and Cathie are both in demand as speakers, Richard is an author, strategist and leadership mentor and Cathie is known for her depth of insight, and down to earth manner.  Both have a great love for the local church across denominations and cultures. Both are effective team builders integrating the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God with strategic planning and practical down to earth application.  They have helped numbers of individuals and churches locally and globally identify their purpose and pursue it more effectively.  They love reaching and building people.

Richard enjoys fishing (fly fishing especially) theology and Jazz, Cathie loves reading, collecting tea pots and all things Royal.  Both love spending time with their four children William, Lucy, Jessie and Natalie. They love their church family and the team they lead.
